Issues with External Display, SSH, Network Location, and Continuity Camera have all been documented in the past. However, there is one bug that seems to have slid silently under the radar, without getting any attention whatsoever. As you might have guessed, yes, we are talking about the Exchange Calendar sync bug in Ventura.

Exchange Calendar sync in Ventura is literally a mess!

Numerous users have voiced their concern that various account calendars aren’t working along the expected lines in the thirteenth iteration of OS. As a result of which, using Apple’s Calendar and Contacts apps with Microsoft’s Exchange & Office365 is proving to be quite a tough nut to crack. Even if it does end up syncing, it does so with incorrect data -the Exchange calendar appointment never shows on the correct date and all the birthday entries are shown one day ahead of their schedule! And wait, the list of issues doesn’t end here, there’s plenty more! Users have also reported that the Exchange account in Apple Mail isn’t able to receive new emails more often than not. Likewise, its Invite feature is working in an absurd manner. There’s no option to Accept or Decline an Event and sometimes an event gets automatically accepted, without any input from the user. In some instances, the accepted invites still show an option to accept that invite! To escape from all these fiascos, users have tried using Fantastical with Outlook, but unfortunately, the result was still the same. So it looks like all the services that use the macOS sync capabilities are currently bugged. Moreover, all these issues are only in the macOS Ventura, Monterey is free from all these problems. So this begs the all-important question- how to fix this Exchange Calendar sync issue in Ventura?

How to Fix Exchange Calendar sync in Ventura

To address this issue, we have tried all the basic workarounds, including removing the Exchange Calendar and then adding them back. However, it tends to do more harm than good. This is because after re-adding the Exchange calendar, it doesn’t even show up anymore in Apple Calendar. So it is now completely up to Apple to release a patch at the earliest, which we are afraid to inform you, isn’t going to happen anytime soon. This is because a user recently contacted Apple Support on Twitter and the latter said him to “connect with Microsoft Support to help determine if there are any compatibility issues with the new update”. So the ball has now been transferred to the Micorosft court and it’s up to the Redmond giant to take the next step. But in between all of this, we the users, are the ultimate suffers. On that note, we round off this guide. As and when there is any official development surrounding the Exchange Calendar sync issue in Ventura, we will update this post accordingly.
